1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions shall have the following meanings:-
Round 1 – The Cherry Bowl. “Competition” means the voting by Users on Submissions, the Submission with the highest accumulated number of User votes receiving a £100.00 cash prize (Members Prize). The second highest accumulated number of User votes receiving a £50.00 cash prize (Members Prize). The Submission deemed most appropriate selected from the top ten by the Jury panel, will be used as the basis for the user-generated screenplay (Jury Prize).
“Competition Date” 27th May 2008;
Round 2 – The Writer’s Brief. “Competition” means the voting by Users on Submissions, the Submission with the highest accumulated number of User votes receiving a £200.00 cash prize (Members Prize). The second highest accumulated number of User votes receiving a £50.00 cash prize (Members Prize). Subject to interview and at the discretion of the Jury panel; the Submission deemed most appropriate from the top ten highest accumulated number of User votes, will receive a £400 commission to write the first draft screenplay and £100 (Jury Prize).
“Competition Date” midnight 31st July 2008;
Round 3 – Director and Producer Call. “Competition” means the voting by Users on Submissions. Subject to interview, the Jury panel will select one Producer and one Director from the top ten Submissions with the highest accumulated number of User votes; to make the film.
“Competition Date” 30th September 2008;
“Inappropriate Material”: material that under the laws of any jurisdiction where the material can be accessed is or may be any of the following:- unlawful, threatening, abusive, harmful, malicious, obscene, pornographic, malicious, profane, libellous, defamatory, causes distress/offence or inconvenience, infringes in any way upon the rights of others including without limitation, Intellectual Property Rights, constitutes or encourages a criminal offence or contains a virus, worm, trojan horse or other harmful code;
“Intellectual Property Rights” all patents, rights to inventions, utility models, copyright and related rights, trade marks, service marks, trade, business and domain names, rights in trade dress or get-up, rights in goodwill or to sue for passing off, unfair competition rights, rights in designs, rights in computer software, database right, topography rights, moral rights, rights in confidential information (including know-how and trade secrets) and any other intellectual property rights, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including all applications for and renewals or extensions of such rights, and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection in any part of the world;
“Licence” as defined in condition 6.3;
“Material”: means text, graphics, images, sound, video or any combination thereof;
“User”: any person or organisation registered with this Website;
“We” “Us” “Our” “Jury” mean Movie Mogul Fund Limited, (company number: 05235426) whose registered office is at Saint Line House, Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff CF10 5LR; and
“You” “Your” means You the User of this Website.
